UPR Interns Win 6 Mark of Excellence Awards

Utah Public Radio student interns entered the Mark of Excellence Awards by the Society of Professional Journalists in January for work done at UPR, and just received the results!

• Online Feature Reporting: Ryan Cunningham and April Ashland for "Buddhist Monk Urges Awareness, Understanding Amid Political Tension in Tibet," as well as a Pinterest board about Tibet.
• Radio Feature: Ryan Cunningham for "Coyotes Fascinate, Puzzle Researchers in Utah."
• Radio Feature: Mackinzie Hamilton for "Porcupine Music Festival- Hairy, Friendly People in Northern Utah."
• Radio Feature: Mackinzie Hamilton for "Kids with William's Syndrome are Pretty Tight, According to Friends and Researchers."
• Radio News Reporting: Brianna Bodily for "Bicycle Brent."
• Radio News Reporting: Brianna Bodily for "Water Dispute at Oneida Narrows."
