Music and Mystery on Thursday AU

As the New Magini String Quartet prepares for a performance of Schubert's masterpiece, "Death and the Maiden," which it hopes will resuscitate its faltering career, someone starts picking off members of the quartet one by one.  It’s up to blind violin teacher and amateur sleuth, Daniel Jacobus, to solve the mystery.

Today we revisit a conversation from October 2011 with Utah musician and author, Gerald Elias.  We talk about his novel, Death and the Maiden, the third book in the Daniel Jacobus mystery series.  Gerald Elias is former associate concertmaster of the Utah Symphony and first violinist with the Abramyan String Quartet.

The next novel in the series, Death and Transfiguration, will be published in June.
