Governor Gary Herbert and Lt. Governor Greg Bell will be sworn in as part of inauguration ceremonies Monday, January 7 at 11 a.m. Utah Public Radio will broadcast the event which will take place in the Rotunda of the Utah State Capitol.
The governor received 68.37 percent of the vote during the November 2012 election. He begins his first full term as Utah’s governor on Monday. UPR’s coverage of the inauguration will conclude the VoteUtah 2012 partnership between UPR and other Utah Public Broadcasters including KUED, KBYU and the UEN.
UPR’s 2013 political coverage continues Monday, January 28 with the opening of the Utah Legislative Session. We will broadcast our Access Utah program live from the Utah State Capitol with political guest from both the Utah House and Utah Senate.
