Fresh Folk- October 13

In honor of UPR’s pledge drive, I’m presenting a foot-stomping bluegrass show this week, with featured artists The Steel Wheels and the Evie Ladin Band. I’ll also play tunes from new releases by Blue Mule, Molasses Creek and Mariel Vandersteel, to name just a few. Join me this Saturday at 8pm for Fresh Folk on Utah Public Radio

There are some great concerts happening around the state, including: Jake Shimabukuro at Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden on Oct 20^th, Ian Anderson at Abravanel Hall on Oct 22^nd, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals at the Depot on Oct 27^th, Rusted Root at the State Room on Oct 30^th, Morrissey at Kingsbury Hall on Nov 4^th, Martin Sexton at the Depot on Nov 7^th, the Infamous Stringdusters at the State Room on Nov 8^th, Rachel Yamagata at the State Room on Nov 23^rd, and the Punch Brothers at the Depot on Dec 7^th. The always fabulous Moab Folk Festival takes place Nov 2-4 with Harry Manx, Cheryl Wheeler, Cosy Sheridan, Willy Porter, Sara Hickman, and Suzy Boggus, among others, scheduled to perform. In Logan, Justin Roth plays at Crumb Brothers on October 27^th, and the bluegrass band Chicken Dinner Road performs at Legends Billiards on Nov 30^th.
