Get ready for a night of Celtic music this week, as I feature the new album from James Keane, and the celebratory re-issue from the fiddler Ian Hardie. I’ll also play tunes from new releases by Cathy Jordan, the Langar’s Ball, and Fiona J Mackenzie, among other talented artists. There some great concerts happening around the state, including: Greensky Bluegrass at the State Room on March 3rd, guitarist Adrian Legg at the State Room on March 5th, Joe Ely at the Egyptian Theater on March 6th, Tony Furtado does a house concert in Park City on March 8th, Leo Kottke at the Egyptian Theater on March 9th and 10th, the English Beat at the State Room on March 14th, G Love and Special Sauce at the Depot on March 14th, Yonder Mt String Band at the Depot on March 15th, the Young Dubliners at the State Room on March 16th, and blues artist Janiva Magness at the Egyptian Theater on March 30th. In Logan, Celtic Night with Leaping Lulu and Inishfire Irish Dance takes place March 15th and 16th at the Ellen Eccles Theater, the great fiddler Natalie MacMaster plays at the Ellen Eccles Theater on March 20th, and guitarist Keith Taylor plays at Crumb Brothers on March 23rd.
