On the show this week, I feature the candid songwriting of Rebecca Loebe, and rootsy folk songs from the newest Moors and McCumber release. I’ll also play tracks from new discs by Charlie Peacock, Forest Sun, and Sandy Cash, to name just a few. Join me this Saturday at 8pm for Fresh Folk on Utah Public Radio.

There some great concerts happening around the state, including:  Rodriguez plays at the Complex on April 29th, Todd Snider at the State Room on May 2nd, the Milk Carton Kids at the State Room on May 6th, The Shins at Park City Live on May 13th, the Living Traditions Festival takes place May 15-17, the Ogden Bluegrass and Acoustic Music Festival takes place May 31- June 2nd with The Boxcars, Elephant Revival, Sam Bush and Tim O’Brien headlining, They Might Be Giants at The Depot on June 8th, Rachel Yamagata at the State Room on June 14th, Rhonda Vincent at the Sandy City Amphitheater on June 15th, and Jackson Browne at Red Butte on June 19th. In Logan, the Iowa-based duo Chad Elliott and Bonita Crowe perform at Crumb Brothers on May 4th, and folk-rocker Dana Hubbard returns to Crumb Brothers on June 8th.
