In many backyards across the state and country, poultry are becoming common. Raising poultry requires space, time, and special ingredients. Chickens are good for gardens, and the soul. Today Bryan Earl speaks with Brit Merrill and Celia Bell about eggs, gardens, and chickens.
Brit Merrill is a community gardener and volunteer manager for Wasatch Community Gardens and was instrumental in helping Salt Lake City craft and update the chicken ordinance. Celia Bell is an urban farmer with a large plot of land and raises chickens, bees, and the majority of her own food.
