Cedar City Youth Soccer Director Arrested in Investigation of Missing Funds

A former director of a Cedar City youth soccer club has been arrested on charges of stealing from the organization.

The investigation began in September after the Cedar City Police Department was contacted by members of the club’s board of directors who had discovered accounting discrepancies.

The investigation culminated this week in the arrest of the club’s director, Rhonda Case.

Case was booked into the Iron County Jail on 3rd degree felony theft charges.  It is believed that Case accomplished the theft by withholding revenues and donations intended for the group, and by using club funds for personal use.

Case’s husband Jeffrey Case was also cited and released for a Class B misdemeanor theft in relation to the investigation.
