Bullying in Utah on Access Utah Tuesday

The recent suicide of Utah junior high school student, David Phan, has focused attention on bullying.  Other recent teen suicides have prompted action at the Utah legislature.

We’ll seek solutions to the problem with Emily Bazelon, author of “Sticks and Stones—Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy.”  We’ll also talk with University of Utah PH.D candidate Maya Miyairi, who has developed a new anti-bullying program for schoolchildren.  What can and should parents, school administrators, legislators, and children do about bullying?
